Administrator at the Chemical Agency
The Chemical Agency is a government authority tasked with reducing the risks of harm to people and the environment from chemicals. As an employee with us, you are part of significant work for sustainable development in Sweden, within the EU, and globally. We are 250 employees, and our office is located in central Sundbyberg.
The Coordination and Decision Unit is responsible for forecasting, planning, monitoring, coordinating investigations, and making decisions on application cases regarding pesticides and general chemicals handled by the department, as well as providing administrative support in case handling. Additionally, the unit handles its own cases. We also work with production management and continuous improvements for case management.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Your job responsibilities include, among other things:
- Administer incoming application cases, such as initiation and closure, and determine the application fee for application cases.
- Handle administrative cases.
- Manage export and import notifications according to the PIC regulation.
- Communicate in writing and verbally in both Swedish and English with applicant companies, other authorities, other EU member states, and EU agencies regarding application cases.
- Document work processes and establish and adjust templates and routines.
- Participate in forecasting, planning, and monitoring the department's case handling.
- Participate in acceptance testing of IT support.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a university degree that we find relevant for the position.
- Has at least 1 year of experience working with case handling in public administration or has other experience we consider equivalent.
- Can express themselves well in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
- Is clear and trustworthy in communication and has an easy time collaborating with others.
- Is meticulous and structured and can handle and organize large amounts of incoming and outgoing information.
- Has an understanding of stakeholders' perspectives and the ability to find solutions to unexpected problems.
- Has experience working with databases and Office programs.
It is advantageous if you have participated in acceptance testing during the management and development of IT systems. Furthermore, it is advantageous if you have an understanding of scientific issues.
